ERICK JANTZEN
Collaborative Printmaking Summer Residency, July 2021
In July of 2021, Erick worked intensively over a 4 day span at Patio Press. Erick was the first ever in-person resident and in his time, produced a 4 layer reductive linocut, carving a new layer each evening to be printed the following day. In addition to his edition, Erick worked with Sara-Jeanne and Mark to make a series of experimental monotypes, made up of pigments collected from Vancouver Island and a site near Patio Press. The work eventually comprised an exhibition (New Maps) at the Emily Carr University Library in October of 2021.
